All public transport in Stockholm can be accessed by purchasing single tickets or travel cards ("SL-accesskort") at public transport centres ("SL-center"), at all subway stations ("Tunnelbana" marked with a big "T"), at most kiosks or online.
Please note that tickets cannot be purchased on the busses, all tickets must be bought in advance or purchased via your smart-phone.

*We recommend purchasing a 7-day "SL-accesskort", especially if you are will be staying outside of Stockholm. Price: SEK 300.
You can also rent bikes to travel around the city. City Bikes offers a service that allows you to rent bikes and drop them off at any City Bike-bike stand in Stockholm.
To rent bikes you need a bike card (or you can load the SL-"accesskort" for public transport with money for bike rentals). The bike card can be purchased at City Bike retailors (all 7-Eleven stores, SL-centers and "Pressbyrån" (a Swedish kiosk chain)).
If you already have a bike card or a SL-accesskort, you can refill your cash balance online.

Ensure that you receive a taxi meter receipt at the end of your trip. The receipt has information on the taxi registration number, the taxi company and the driver. If you happen to forget anything in the car or wish to make a complaint your receipt will be useful when you contact the taxi company.
