The KBS 2022 organizers have secured limited funding to sponsor researchers who otherwise may not be able to attend the conference due to a lack of institutional support.
The deadline for applying for Financial Support / Scholarship is 11 February 2022.
If you are applying for financial support, please register for the conference by the deadline, but do not pay the fees until you have received a decision on your application. We will make arrangements for adjusting your fees after the financial support decisions are made. The application for financial support will be evaluated along with the abstract, as the quality of the contribution is one of the assessment criteria.
The criteria used to assess applications will include:
- presentation of a paper at the conference that is of relevance to the aims of the Kettil Bruun Society;
- firm commitment to attending all five days of the conference;
- being a researcher without any institutional support;
- being located in a low/middle income country or a country otherwise under-represented at the conference;
- coverage of part of the costs through other sources, including applicant’s own resources.
If you wish to apply for financial support, please complete the form below and submit your abstract by 11 February 2022.
Application for financial support is not possible anymore (closing date was 11/02/2022).
Please note that the decisions on the number of people supported and the value of each award will depend on the number of applications we receive. We cannot guarantee that any award made will cover all of the requested costs, and travel costs in particular may not be covered if we receive a large number of eligible applications. You will be informed of the outcome of your application by 7 March 2022.
